How to Teach The Last Lecture Book to High School Students

The Last Lecture is a great book for high school students. For the past few years, I have been using the book with high school seniors. The content of the book lends itself to many personal reflection activities that most of the students seem to enjoy.
Here is the activity that I share with the students.
Over the next few weeks, I would you to create a poster, or if you have another location where you can complete this activity, you simply can show me the work. If you are going to attempt this in your room, please ask permission before doing so. I do not want to be in the middle of a family feud.
1. “I want to paint things on my wall. Things that matter to me. Things I think will be cool.” (page 27)
a. POSTER – Create a poster of your dream wall. It should include things that matter to you. You will be graded on effort and creativity. Some of us are artistically challenged. You will not be marked down for lack of artistic talent.

Be prepared to explain the objects on the wall and their significance to you.
