The School Community will jump on the bandwagon. The school and community are fully aware of the accomplishments of this year’s basketball team. Many youth basketball families see this as a valuable experience and an opportunity to expose younger players to the high school basketball culture.
The reality for the teams. Only one team will wake up the next day as a state champion.
Many talented players remain, including some of the best in the state.
Many impressive coaches, rookies and veterans, have pushed the right buttons since the Monday after Thanksgiving to get to this point.
News coverage is at an all-time high. Radio stations, community cable channels, and local TV stations will report and cover the games. Sports talk shows will likely chime in.
Alumni will return to think about their own Glory Days.
There will be proud parents, families, and friends: The teams will be playing in what are likely the biggest games of their lives. In some cases, the parents will be more anxious thab the players. It is a challenge to watch a child play on such a big stage.
There will be celebration and heartache.
