June is the final stretch of the school year. It is hard to believe the day the calendar is flipped to June 1. We are rounding the corner and headed down the homestretch.

The light at the end of the tunnel is blinding.

Another journey in education for teachers and students is about to end.

It is the time of year that many schools and teachers take the foot off the pedal a little bit while others continue to push students to develop skills that they will need for the following year and ultimately life.

At each level, the end of the year looks different.

Elementary schools are filled with carnivals and field days and special events.

Middle schools also have end of the year ceremonies. Many schools culminate the year with an out-of-state overnight trip. Other have an overnight outdoor adventure camp.

For high school seniors the homecoming, college acceptances, military recruitments, prom and graduation are in the rearview mirror. Other high school students are preparing for final exams.

For high school teachers, final exams or projects can look different based on the class and the curriculum. Some schools have the same final exam for all students. Other schools allow for teachers to create their own final projects.

Good Luck and enjoy the final few days.
