It is important to have clear objectives when teaching and also when using twitter. In the early days of My Town Tutors the objectives were not clear and were constantly changing because we did not understand the power of social media.
We decide to unfollow ALL the accounts we were following. We unfollowed 10K accounts. This is a an extreme social media approach. Once we did this, we took a deep breath, did not follow anyone, then decided to slowly follow the best accounts.
Our goal is to make strong connections with the most influential education accounts that can help share our mission of being the #1 resource for parents and teachers.
