  • I have been a classroom math teacher in the Newton Public Schools for more than 25 years. Newton is considered one of the most prestigious public school systems in the US. I have taught all levels of math from grades 7 to 12, excluding calculus. Over this time period, I have also worked as a private tutor in Newton. I truly believe that math does not need to be difficult or overwhelming. It isn't just for the handful of the "gifted" to enjoy and succeed at. Recently, I have moved to the South Shore, and would like to expand my tutoring to this area. I love working one on one with students and seeing their confidence grow and their degree of success improve. Because I have taught so many grade levels over the years, I know what to focus on to help you not only to be successful at this time, but how to form the proper connections to be successful in future math courses. So many kids have told me after having me in class or as a tutor, "this is the first time I actually like math and feel good at it". It would be my joy to help you feel the same way.
