  • I'm one of lucky ones. I love my job! I have been a teacher for over 10 years. Currently, I work as a special education teacher in Sudbury, MA and this is my fifth year. I feel very fortunate to be surrounded by amazing talent and be so thoroughly supported. I work with elementary students with learning disabilities in the areas of reading, writing, and math. I have been trained in both Wilson Reading and EmPower Writing which focuses on specialized instruction for struggling readers and writers. I have attended math workshops on teaching mathematics with manipulatives and technology. I have access to a variety of material and I love to make learning fun. I have helped pilot MCAS prep workshops and have tutored students with a variety of needs, including learning disabilities, ADHD, and executive functioning difficulties. I think making the personal connection with a student while helping them succeed is my favorite part of teaching and tutoring.
