Children’s’ Books
- Inch and Miles by John Wooden (Full Book Review)Before your child plays a sport, each parent should read this book by the “Wizard of Westwood.” It is entertaining, but more importantly it is a great tool to develop a coaching philosophy. Whenever you encounter a question with coaching, re-read this book and you will often find the “right” answer.

- Coaching Youth Basketball (Fifth Edition) by Don Showalter AESP: This is one of the best books for age-appropriate drills and skills. (Full Book Review)
- Basketball Shooting by Dave Hopla: This is a fantastic book on shooting the basketball. Shooting in the most important offensive skill. If you cannot teach the fundamentals to the players on your team, you will not have a good shooting team. It covers all the fundamental aspects of shooting. It is a great teaching book.
